Fun with Excel

I have used spreadsheets since Software Arts’ Visicalc was available on an Apple II, but I really like digging under the bonnet to increase the power of Excel. Its even possible to use some 1500 extra functions hidden in the Windows operating system. I spent endless hours with my PhD creating diffusion models using Excel.

I have just discovered Excel Hero, an Excel Blog with lots of downloads to play with.  I rather liked this “Square Spiral” optical illusion and the spreadsheet to create it.
