I have used spreadsheets since Software Arts’\u00a0Visicalc <\/strong><\/a>was available on an Apple II, but I really like digging under the bonnet to increase the power of Excel. Its even possible to use some 1500 extra functions hidden in the Windows operating system. I spent endless hours with my PhD creating diffusion models using Excel.<\/p>\n

I have just\u00a0discovered Excel Hero<\/strong>,<\/strong> an Excel Blog with lots of downloads to play with.\u00a0\u00a0I rather liked this “Square Spiral” optical illusion and the\u00a0spreadsheet to create it.<\/p>\n
