Usually you need an expensive subscription to access research publications, but major medical publishers like Elsevier are not only making such research free, but have created a website to help people find the research they need. It contains sections for clinicians and the public and also pre-prints which contain very timely information for policy makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COVID-19 new publications from the US National Academies Press<\/strong> (free PDF download) – includes one on face masks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The publications tend to be short but summarise the state of knowledge and give links to the published research, often in journals that I do not normally read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
