Here is its\u00a0flight path, having just circled Brisbane.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-1155\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.dbohs.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Google-Loon-May-19-2014-9_15pm-Qld.jpg\" alt=\"Google Loon  May 19 2014 9_15pm Qld\" width=\"472\" height=\"272\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.dbohs.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Google-Loon-May-19-2014-9_15pm-Qld.jpg 1110w, https:\/\/blog.dbohs.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Google-Loon-May-19-2014-9_15pm-Qld-300x172.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.dbohs.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Google-Loon-May-19-2014-9_15pm-Qld-640x369.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 472px) 100vw, 472px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The balloon appears to be one in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/loon\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Google Loon<\/strong><\/a> project to give everyone on Earth cheap internet access. \u00a0It appears that the balloon navigates by adjusting its height and catching winds of different directions in the stratosphere. The balloon electronics are\u00a0solar powered and this one is transmitting its identification (GOOGLE8), height, vertical velocity and heading just like most aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Google Project Loon balloon was been spotted over Queensland on May 19 2014.
